Resource Description:
Youth In Action, YIA, is a unique program in Chaffee County that provides an opportunity for middle school students and preschool students to be matched together while developing literacy skills in the latter. When school is in session, YIA meets weekly in Buena Vista (Mondays) and Salida (Wednesdays). YIA is a peer to peer mentoring program within Family and Youth Initiatives.
