Help & How to Use Chaffee Resources

Welcome! Chaffee Resources is designed to make it easier to find, save, and share local health, wellness, and support services. Below you’ll find simple instructions for searching the site, exploring resources, saving favorites, and managing listings.

How to Search for Resources

There are several ways to search, depending on how you prefer to explore.

1. Search from the Home Page

  • Go to the main home page (you can get there anytime by clicking Search or the Chaffee Resources logo in the upper-left corner).
  • Type anything you’re looking for into the search bar (for example: food pantry, counseling, childcare).
  • Click Search to see results.

2. Search and Refine

  • Enter your search term in the main search bar.
  • Use the dropdown menus or advanced filters to narrow your results.
  • You can select one or many filters.
  • Click Search to update your results.

3. Browse by Category

  • Scroll down on the home page to the All Categories section.
  • Click the main category that best fits what you’re looking for.
  • Select a subcategory to view matching resources.

Using the Search Results Page

After you search, you’ll be taken to the Search Results page.

Here you can:

  • Scroll through resources and review basic information.
  • Refine your search further using the filters at the top of the page.
  • Remove all filters and start over by clicking Clear Filters.
  • Click any orange category bubble on a resource card to see other resources in that same category.
  • Use the map on the right side to view where resources are located and click on map pins for details.

Viewing Individual Resource Profiles

To learn more about a resource:

  • Click on the resource title from the search results page.
  • This will take you to the full Resource Profile.

On the resource profile page, you may find:

  • Detailed service descriptions
  • Hours, eligibility, and contact information
  • Links to websites or social media
  • Options to print or share the resource by email or social platforms

“You Might Need Also” Suggestions

Because life is complex and needs often overlap, some pages include a “You Might Need Also” section.

  • Review the questions listed.
  • If any apply to your situation, click the question.
  • You’ll be taken to a curated list of related resources that may offer additional support.

Contacting or Referring to Resources

Some organizations accept messages or referrals directly through the site.

  • If available, you’ll see an orange “Contact Us” button on the resource profile.
  • Enter your basic information and message.
  • Be sure to review and agree to the consent notice.
  • Your message will be sent directly to the organization.

Saving Favorites

You can save resources to review or share later.

  • Click the orange star on a resource card or resource profile to add or remove it from your favorites.
  • To view your favorites, click Favorites in the top menu.
  • From your favorites list, you can:
    • Select one or more resources
    • Print them individually or all at once

To save your favorites for future visits:

  • Click Login in the upper-right corner and create a profile.

Spanish Translation

If you prefer Spanish:

  • Go to the upper-right corner of the site.
  • Click English and select Spanish from the dropdown menu.

Adding or Managing a Resource Listing

If you represent an organization or program and want to add or update a resource:

Add a Resource

  • Go to the top menu and select For ProvidersAdd a Resource.
  • Create a username and password.
  • Once verified, log in and go to My Profile.
  • Select Add a Resource and complete the form.

Important note:
If your organization offers multiple programs or locations, each program or location must have its own profile to ensure the best access for the community.

  • Click Save when finished.
  • Your submission will be reviewed by an administrator.
  • Once approved, it will be published on the site.

Manage Your Listing

  • Log in at any time to edit, update, or delete your resource information.
  • Please keep listings accurate and up to date so the community has the best information.
  • You can also update your login details in your profile.

Managing Referrals

If your resource listing includes a Contact Us option:

  • Users and navigators can send you referrals or messages.
  • These messages will go directly to your email.
  • You can also view all messages in your profile under Submissions.
  • Respond as soon as possible to support timely connection and care.

Knowledge Library

The Knowledge Library is a growing collection of trusted, evidence-based information, including:

  • Mental health and wellness resources
  • Educational flyers and guides
  • Helpful videos
  • Recipes and practical tools

This section will continue to grow as new materials are added.

  • Scroll to the Contact Us section at the bottom of the site
    or
  • Click Contact Us from the home page

Your message will be sent directly to the site administrator.
