About

The Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Group in Buena Vista offers free, in-person support for family members, friends, and caregivers caring for someone living with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia. Facilitated through the Alzheimer's Association, this group provides a welcoming and confidential setting where caregivers can share experiences, discuss challenges, receive emotional support, and learn practical strategies for navigating the caregiving journey. Located at Buena Vista Community Center.

Support groups help caregivers build informal support networks, reduce feelings of isolation, and gain knowledge about dementia, memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, and related conditions. Participants can learn caregiving techniques, communication strategies, self-care practices, and problem-solving skills while connecting with others who understand the unique challenges of dementia caregiving.

This support group is specifically designed for caregivers and serves residents of Buena Vista, Chaffee County, and surrounding communities seeking caregiver support, dementia education, Alzheimer's resources, memory care information, and emotional support. The group is free to attend, and registration is preferred but not required. Donations are accepted and appreciated.
