WHO WE ARE
The Arkansas Valley Christian Mission exists to:
Assist those in need with such things as food, shelter and the basic necessities of life.
To serve the poor in spirit with a listening ear and a caring heart and by offering a Christian perspective.
To serve as a gathering place for individuals and families where the love of Christ can be shared and experienced in a non-denominational setting.
Everyone is Welcome!
All clients are accepted where they are in their life, be it in a temporary crisis, unemployed, underemployed, in the midst of family difficulties, in chronic need due to illness or unable to get assistance elsewhere. One need not be affiliated with a church to serve or be served.
We can make appointments outside regular hours if necessary.
Vouchers available to New Bees Thrift Store, Firewood & other assistance available to Buena Vista residents on an individual basis.
All of our services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL and include the following:
- Groceries/Client Pantry
- Employment Resources
- Health Care References
- Prescription Co-pay Assistance
- Fuel Vouchers for Emergencies
By appointment outside of office/lunch hours.
