The Salida Club of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chaffee County serves children and teens ages 6 through 18 with high-quality after-school, summer, and school-break programming designed to help young people reach their full potential. The club provides a safe place for youth to learn, grow, explore interests, develop life skills, and build positive relationships with peers and caring adult mentors.
Programs are led by professionally trained staff and focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, character development, leadership, creativity, and personal growth. Youth participants have access to a variety of engaging activities, including Power Hour homework assistance, Fiber Arts, Social Action Projects, Arduino technology and electronics programming, Spark Fitness, arts programming, leadership opportunities, and community engagement projects.
Club members have participated in a wide range of enriching experiences including recreating a life-sized woolly mammoth, learning to fly drones, playing pickleball, and participating in the Boys & Girls Clubs National Fine Arts Exhibit. A healthy snack is provided daily at no charge.
The Salida Club operates from a dedicated youth facility redesigned specifically to support learning, recreation, and personal growth. The facility includes a gymnasium with a climbing wall, teen center, art room, library, computing center, learning center, commercial kitchen, performance area, music room, and a large playground. The club serves families throughout Salida and Chaffee County seeking after-school care, youth enrichment programs, academic support, summer activities, mentorship, leadership development, recreation, and positive youth development opportunities.

Teen Extended Hours:
First and Third Thursday of each month: Open until 8:00 PM for teens
No-School Fridays:
8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Summer and School Holiday Programs:
School holidays, New Year's week, spring break, and summer:
