Catholic Charities of Central Colorado is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit human services organization and the social service arm of the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Since 1968, the organization has worked to provide help and create hope for individuals and families experiencing poverty, hardship, and vulnerability throughout Central Colorado. As part of the national Catholic Charities USA network, Catholic Charities serves residents across a 10-county region, including Chaffee County, regardless of faith, race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or background.
Catholic Charities offers more than 70 programs and services designed to address both immediate needs and the root causes of poverty. Services include housing stability assistance, rent and utility support, food and nutrition programs, employment and life-skills services, family support programs, case management, legal and immigration services, mental health and medical resource connections, and referrals to community-based services.
The organization works alongside individuals and families to help them achieve greater stability, self-sufficiency, and well-being. Services are designed to provide practical assistance while empowering people to overcome challenges and build stronger futures. Catholic Charities emphasizes relationship-centered support and community collaboration to address human needs across the region.
Residents of Chaffee County can begin accessing services by completing the county-specific intake form. Individuals only need to submit one form and select their most urgent need. A staff member from the appropriate department will then follow up by phone or email to discuss available resources and next steps.
