About

Goal:

Our goal is to de-escalate crises safely, reduce unnecessary arrests or hospitalizations, and connect individuals with ongoing support services.

Mission Statement:

We are a compassionate team of behavioral health professionals working within the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Department. Co-response clinicians are dispatched with law enforcement and first responders to provide crisis stabilization, community-based support, resource navigation, and connection to on-going care. Following initial contact, our team offers in-person, individualized case management to promote sustained wellbeing.

Value Statement:

We are committed to serving individuals, families, and our community.

We see the human experience as infinitely varied and culturally influenced.

We believe all persons should be treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

We seek to empower our community by offering hope, guidance and education.

We understand that everyone needs help at times and we value the courage of asking for support.
