Immunizations help protect individuals and entire communities from diseases that are spread person-to-person. Immunizations can prevent disease or lessen the severity of disease in the people who receive them. Immunizations help control many infectious diseases that were once common in this country. It is always better to prevent a disease than to try to treat it.
Chaffee County Public Health (CCPH) offers: Child and Adults Immunizations; Travel Immunizations; Tuberculosis skin test (PPD test); QuantiFERON Tb testing.
CCPH can bill insurance and provides free immunizations for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Many insurance companies do not cover the cost of travel vaccinations.
