Dude Talk Dinners was founded in Gunnison and has since grown to multiple rural Colorado towns. It was originally founded as a way for men to connect with each other to prevent social isolation and suicide amongst men in rural communities. The purpose of the monthly meetings is for men to connect over a meal, share resources with each other, provide mutual support, discuss difficult issues, and build a sense of community in a peer-run and more natural environment than typical therapy groups.
