First Presbyterian Church of Salida offers compassionate, non-religious emergency financial assistance for individuals and families facing urgent, essential needs. Through its SOS (Saints of Salida) Emergency Fund, volunteers meet weekly with clients—by appointment—to review applications and provide support for housing stability, transportation, medical needs, and other one-time crises. Assistance is provided confidentially and with dignity, and all funds are paid directly to service providers to ensure timely, effective help. The program welcomes everyone in the community and is designed to stabilize residents experiencing immediate financial hardship.
