Juniper Counseling Services is a locally owned and operated counseling office located in Buena Vista, Colorado. Counseling services for adult individuals and couples are offered, both in office and online. Counseling services are offered for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma/EMDR therapy, relationship difficulties, maternal mental health issues, pregnancy loss, women’s issues, life transitions, and grief and loss. Juniper Counseling Services also offers mental wellness support to our first responder community and their partners/spouses. Amy Heap, MA, LPC (Practice Owner & Licensed Professional Counselor) earned her Master of Arts from The University of Denver (DU) and has been helping support mental wellness for over 20 years, across a variety of different settings. Amy has advanced training in trauma and often utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidenced based trauma therapy. Amy also has advanced training in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International, and is a Level 2 – Gottman Couples Therapist. Amy is committed to helping her clients feel seen, heard, supported and cared for well.
