About

Welcome to my practice! I'm glad you are here. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2013 in Salida, Colorado. I received a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2013. I have post graduate training in Pregnancy Related Mood Disorders from Postpartum Support International, postgraduate training in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and other trainings in evidence based therapies for a variety of mental health issues you may be struggling with in your life right now. I am honored and blessed that you are considering sharing your story with me and allowing me to come alongside you on your journey to mental wellness. You may request a free 30 minute consultation on my website https://landlcounseling-bethrussell.clientsecure.me/

My experience has been in helping clients with relationships, stress and anxiety, sleeping disorders, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I also have experience working with depression and substance misuse problems. I believe healthy relationships with others and ourselves are foundational to better mental health. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. My approach is client-centered and holistic in that I take a look at all aspects of who you are to understand where you are now and how we can get to where you want to be.

In therapy, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Grief and Loss, Hope-Focused Couples Counseling, and The Gottman Approach. I will tailor tools and techniques to you to best meet your needs. I will meet you where you are and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to be able to work through these issues that have brought you here today.
