I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in rural Colorado. I provide individual and couples therapy for adolescents and adults across the state via telehealth. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and depression and I firmly believe the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem. I put the person first and use a narrative approach. This means I trust and value the meaning my clients make from their experiences. Through a mix of somatic work, EMDR/trauma processing, insight building, and skills training, I help clients trust and value themselves.
Many of my clients struggle with their relationships with themselves and others, often with roots in trauma or chronic stress. This stress frequently shows up as anxiety, depression, body tension, numbness, shifts in sleep or appetite, anger, fear, suicidal ideation, or self-sabotaging behaviors such as disordered eating, substance use, and self-harm. I help clients learn from these symptoms as teachers, rather than fearing them, so we can understand underlying needs for healthier living and empowerment.
