CCPH offers free testing for sexually transmitted infections (STI's) through walk in clinic hours and scheduled appointments. Testing is typically a finger prick and/or urine sample. Please note that all testing is free except trichomonas ($25 fee). Testing is recommended at least once a year, every 3-6 months based on risk factors, with each new sexual partner, or if a partner tests positive for an STI. Everyone should get tested for HIV and hepatitis C once in their lifetime and maybe more depending on risk factors.
Call CCPH at 719-539-4510 to schedule an appointment (offered on Wednesdays in Salida), or you can walk in without an appointment to Chaffee Community Clinic on Mondays from noon to 4pm in Salida, or Tuesdays in BV (112 Linderman Ave, Buena Vista) from noon to 4pm.
